Big list of Sewing blogs - I'm in, are you?

Exciting Day . . .

I learned to sew on Mom’s old White brand sewing machine. It was a real workhorse and I’ve never used another machine that could measure up to it.

When people ask me what’s the best sewing machine for a beginner to learn on, I’d like to tell them about this White sewing machine. But, since I had my own sewing machine, when Mom died, her sewing machine went to my brother. He just uses it to hem pants. He doesn’t sew much.

I was asking him for the make and model number of that sewing machine when he told me that he’d bought a new one and didn’t want the old White sewing machine anymore and I could have it if I wanted. I need another sewing machine like a hole in the head but I jumped at the chance anyway. He lives two hours away so I have to pick it up when I’m in the area BUT I can’t wait and I’m SO excited to get that machine serviced (it’s been 10-20 years) and get it home!

The challenge will be finding room for it now!

I’ll post pictures when I get it home. I can’t wait!!
